“Waste Wonders” is an event organized by E-Square Club of the Department of Civil Engineering. In this event students were asked to come up with all kinds of waste material that they can trace in their vicinity. Maximum up to 4 students formed a team. The students came up with wonderful and startling idea and the top three models based on their innovation and execution were presented awards. It was a motivational as well as fearing event for the students. This would definitely inculcate a concern for the environment among the students which is the need of the hours.

The interaction with the students was planned in seminar hall, level-2, Academic block-3.Thel lecture was oriented to Water & Waste Water Management with various technological advancement and latest trends because water management Is major concern now days. I Students were given exposure the new techniques, to management of water through power point presentation. He highlighted the different opportunities which students of B.E Civil and Master can explore after completion of courses. He not only enhanced the knowledge of the students but also widened their horizon and vision about civil engineers. He sparked and opened the minds of young civil engineers with new concepts which are not only economical but also time saving. i His expert talk will definitely help to link the students prepare themselves for the industry. Overall it was very interactive and informa.lve session.

Ramachandra. He discussed the 'Challenges and opportunities in Civil Engineering'. He also highlighted the importance of Civil Engineering software in the present scenario for Civil Engineering students and how the software(s) are helpful i to enhance their skills to get better jobs. His presentation covcred different fields of Civil Engineering such as advancements in construction industries were discussed.
Students were given exposure the new construction techniques, new equipments, new materials, i innovative structural design through power point presentation. He highlighted the different opportunities which students of undergraduate and postgraduate programs can explore after i completion of courses. The opportunities he highlighted were not limited to core Civil Engineering but also in other new fields such as forensic expert engineer, concrete technologist, green engineer, i geo-technical engineer, equipment expert, nanotechnology, contract expert, research and l development, formwork specialist demolition expert, precast and prefab expert, transport expert, i structural rehabilitation expert, water proofing expert which were not explored by the student earlier.

The expert who delivered the session was Mr. Manish Bhatia, Manager, Ambuja Cements Limited. He made the students develop an insight into the self compacting concrete and its mix designs. The students were also made aware of the standard codes that is practiced by the Ambuja cements. They were even provided with the worksheets to work on. Then, the students even indulged into practical work in their labs.
