Experiencing the best of Industry Institute Interface - India’s 1st Innovation Lab for Sustainability by Hartek Group inaugurated at Chandigarh University.
Department of Electrical Engineering took initiative in bringing Industry Institute Interface and Hartek Group sponsored Lab “Innovation Lab for Sustainability" for Students of Electrical Engineering. EE Students will now get an opportunity to interact with Technical Experts from Industry (Hartek Group) and work in an area of Renewable Energy Sources especially Solar Integration and Automation with new innovation technologies.
It is a dedicated program to create engineers for the fast-growing EV industry needs in India & globally. The program is created in collaboration with our industry partners, consultants, and a team of in-house subject matter experts to meet the industry expectations. Electrical Vehicle Engineering (EVE) is an international master’s degree conveying in-depth knowledge in electric components technologies and their integration in electric vehicles. Electrical Vehicle Engineering graduates will be particularly focused on "full-electric" traction systems, the storage and management of electricity onboard, and the integration of the vehicle with the electricity grid.
A Globally Reputed Program, this course addresses contemporary issues in Electric Vehicle technology. Graduates of the course will be ready to enter the automotive industry, especially in roles requiring specialist knowledge of electric vehicles or associated technologies. In addition to developing your technical knowledge and experience, this programme will also give you greater confidence in your transferable and personal skills. These include problem-solving, critical thinking, team working, and communication.
After the completion of this course, students will be able to explain the basics of electric and hybrid electric vehicles, their architecture, technologies and fundamentals, analyze the use of different power electronics converters and electrical machines in hybrid electric vehicles, able to interpret the working of different configurations of electric vehicles and its components, hybrid vehicle configurations and able to understand the control and configurations of HEV charging stations.
Major areas of research include: Distributed Generation, IOT, Microgrid, Electric Hybrid Vehicles, Energy Storage, Battery Management Systems, Machines, Power systems and many more.
The course roadmap below will help you in planning your academics and
give you an overview of each upcoming semester.
Several electric two-wheeler producers including Hero Electric, Lohia Auto, Electrotherm, Avon, Indus, Tork Motorcycle and Ather Energy, are already selling. Honda, Bajaj Auto Ltd and TVS are promising new products by 2025.
After completing the course, the students will be able to:
An engineering graduate learns the basic concepts of different streams required to build an electric vehicle through his/her course. Careers in the electric vehicle industry are diverse and appeal to individuals with a variety of skill sets. When working in this field, graduates may design, develop, produce and market new technologies and cars. The expansion of the EV industry is now attracting more people to be a part of it and for that people require a platform to obtain the required skills.
