RCF- rail coach factory, has manufactured more than 30,000 of passenger coaches. The site was related to the manufacturing parts of rail coaches, their maintenance, painting, washing etc. it is India’s second largest coach factory.

The students got an insight of all the works and had a great experience with the activities going on inside the workshops. The industry visit was really helpful in getting knowledge of practices of coach manufacturing and maintenance.
The purpose of visit of students (ME structure & CTM) to L&Tplant and site was to gain knowledge regarding the planning and quality announce at construction site. Engineers from L&Tprovide insights how their planning work is done and their maintain quality of material at site. Students got know about self compacting concrete, which L&Tis using for construction of bridges. Also, L&Tgave us chance to visit their active site where engineer from L&Texplained about pre-stressed concrete girders from casting to erection of girders over the piers. Overall, it was a great experience for our master students as students from ME CTM got insight regarding planning where as students from structure got knowledge regarding PSC and SCC which is include in their curriculum also

It was a knowledgeable experience for the students as they were able to witness the working process of the plant. As they are studying the subject of Concrete Technology thus, students were very well able to correlate with their subject. Further, they were also made aware with the control room of the batching plant and the way in which operations are conducted. Henceforth, the students were satisfied with the visit.

CP 67 is situated on the Airport Road sector 67, Mohali, SAS Nagar. It’s a 4-side open corner property. The project has a very wide frontage & properly visible from 4-ways.

CP 67 is the top-most visible project of Airport Road. The project has 100% visible and walkable for sector 68, 67, & sector 80 residents and for the passers of Airport Road. The project is very well connected to multiple public transportation facilities and other civic facilities. The students got an insight of various operations going on at the construction site.
Educational trip was planned to CSIR Roorkee and Rishikesh. CSIR (Central Building Research Institute) at Roorkee. The institution is known for the innovative research technique in field of building construction and planning, latest and innovative building materials and technologies, fire engineering and disaster mitigation projects. Students i saw the fire safety usage in CSlR and students also grasped knowledgei about fire protection techniques provided in kaccha and bamboo houses.i There was an interaction between students and research scholars abouti the innovative and latest technologies such as nano-technology, different i combination of materials for making tiles or bricks. The students visited the civil department labs in which there were the latest technological instruments and machines.

Students also visited the Rishikesh and saw the old suspension bridge known as Ram and Lakshman Jhula. The bridge was constructed by U.P.P.W.D. during 1927-1929. It replaces the old bridge of 284 feet span which was washed away by great floods of October, 1924.
The place was properly built with all the equipments related to rainfall, wind,humidity etc. the expert provides us all the information including working of the instruments and also they have showed the working of software. So totally it wascomplete useful industrial trip. Students have gained lot of knowledge related to environment field.
